For the first time since 2006, the Friends World Committee will hold its Americas Section Meeting in Latin America. What does the Religious Society of Friends need from a Friends World Committee in the 21st century? After a year of consideration and hours of consultation, the Executive Committee is pleased to share the new strategic plan for the Section of the Americas, "Weaving the Tapestry 2015-2020", in English and Spanish.
In a historic first, the Quaker Youth Pilgrimage traveled through Peru and Bolivia, the centers of South American Quakerism. Twenty-six 16-19 year-olds from seven countries traveled together this July and explore their faith as Friends.

Our four Living Water regional consultations were a tremendous success, each with over 100 participants representing over a dozen different yearly meetings and groups of Friends. Find out how these Friends learned new skills and affirmed our mutual Quaker identity at the events.
Membership statistics are ever-changing and each yearly meeting counts their numbers by a different formula, but by our best estimates, the number of Quakers in the world has grown by almost 40,000 members, or about 12% since the last published map in 2007.
