In 2014 the Executive Committee of the Section of the Americas consulted widely as they envisioned how to best organize the Section’s work to advance our mission. They asked, “What do Friends in the Americas need from a world committee? and “What can FWCC offer?” The resulting Strategic Plan was approved at the Section Meeting in Mexico City in 2015. In 2016, the original five-year plan was extended to eight years (through 2023), and included a timeline for mid-course evaluations of our progress. The Executive Committee formed a Strategic Plan Review Group late in 2019. That Group was tasked with proposing a draft update to the Strategic Plan to bring back to the Executive Committee for consideration in March 2020.
